The project involved a sensitive two storey extension and full remodel of an existing 1960s property in York conservation area.

​

The proposals start from the position of admiring many of the features of the original design. Restoring the most successful parts of this composition, re roofing in slate and improving the performance of the fabric with insulation to modern standards. The project also involved the reinstatement of the original vertical 50mm Makore board 'hit and miss' to the entrance area in reference to the earlier scheme.
